Private music lessons are a great way to energize your independent study of the trumpet. Having a mentor gives you a chance to ask questions, receive immediate feedback, get performance experience, and to have a positive role model. Private study is the perfect accompaniment to school or community band programs; One gives you the opportunity to play in a group setting while the other gives you the one on one tutoring that puts your progress on the fast track.
Lessons are available in either 30/45/60 minute time slots Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fees should be paid in full (or with post-dated cheques) at the time of registration. In a preliminary phone call we can arrange a weekly lesson time, payment plan, and we can discuss your short-term and long-term goals.
Trumpet Studio Notes
Students have many options for lessons depending on their interests. A beginning student might opt for 30 minute lessons focused on basic trumpet technique, or they might want to arrange full hour lessons, so that time can be devoted to the rudiments of music theory as well as trumpet technique. Advanced students should aim for full hour weekly lessons that will give them the opportunity to explore extended trumpet techniques as well as ongoing theory work.
